The Sunday Cuppa

moved here Happy Friday my little lovelies. It’s the first weekend in August and despite a gloomy forecast of rain, I’m hoping to make August really positive and full of change. I’ve started a series over on my YouTube channel called #TeaDiaries where I sit down with a cuppa and talk about different topics, often very personal, and share my stories of life, family, relationships, health and all the things we go through in life. This week I talked all about why I lost all body confidence and how social media has had an impact on how we compare ourselves and see ourselves.

I’ve been notoriously bad at updating my blog because my videos get so much of my love and attention, so I’m going to start the Sunday Cuppa over on my blog. Each Sunday, I’m going to try to post something new on here, talking all about what I’ve been up to this week, newness I’m loving and any heart to heart topics I feel I want to talk about.

opcje binarne kursy So this week I went to Paris. Dave and I spent 24 hours in the city of love to celebrate our engagement and start wedding planning. It was a little overwhelming when we got home after getting engaged so we put talks on hold for a while to just enjoy being together. This week we’ve made some really exciting decisions, so I’m going to be posting a video in a week or so about future plans and also the most incredible trip and where we stayed and what we did. Foodie lovers you won’t want to miss that video!

It’s been so nice taking pictures of the house coming along so we can document it. I’ve been photobombing so many of my photos with the Ribena Doodle Your World App. You might have seen a few go up on my Instagram. If you get addicted to filters or new things for your pictures then you’ll love this. I’ve seen a few go up of pineapples chasing people but I can’t get Bee to stay still for long enough! It’s really fun and once you start you won’t be able to stop!

Simple Skincare: Skin Social

All throughout my teenage years and into my early twenties I suffered from bad acne. I lost so much confidence and over the years I’ve spent so much time trying to understand my skin and find the best products for it. So when Simple asked if I wanted to go along to one of their Skin Social workshops to learn about skincare I jumped at the chance!

I’ve always been a big fan of Simple skincare, over the years I’ve used their facewipes, toner and eye makeup remover as staples in my bathroom. So I was really interested to learn more about the products and my skin. Skin Social was set up to be a place where you can find more out about skin, and all the things you can do besides skincare to help it.

The story behind Skin Social is really nice too. It was set up with the help from people like you and I, people interested in skincare, along with Zoella and the help of vlogger Charlotte AKA PunkChyaz (who has the most beautiful hair!!!).

The main thing I came away having leant was to keep my skincare as simple as possible. Their products and the ingredients in them live by this, hence the name Simple! Overcomplicating things can actually make skin worse! We also got to make our own yummy fruit water which I will definitely be recreating because drinking water is one of the best things you can do for your skin. Finally, we did a few little exercises and relaxation tips which is all really important for skin too.

I’ve picked out my favourite picks – the radiance facewipes, illuminating cream, spot zapper, BB balm, and hydrating light moisturiser. You can see most of them in action in my morning skincare routine here.

They’ve just recruited 4 interns to help make sure the site is packed full of fun new ideas too.

You can check out Simple’s Skin Social here on tubler or on the main website here. What’s your biggest skin problem? What do you do when you’re having a bad skin day? Love Becky x
