go site I’ve been meaning to write this post for sometime now, partly because of my obsessive love with nail polishes, and partly because I was totally unaware that Nails Inc had had a bit of a facelift! I’ve always been a huge fan of their polishes for quality and colour range, but now they’ve stepped up a notch, and I’m totally head over heels in love with their new (ish) packaging.
The cult-fave GLAMGLOW youthmud face mask is something that’s been on my list to try and review for longer than I can remember. It’s probably the most talked about mask and I really wanted to know if it was worth the hype. The £25 price tag for a fairly small jar (15ml) has always stopped me from buying it on a whim, but I finally caved!
It claims to be a 10-minute facial in a jar, which is a tag line that had me hooked because I’m looking for a quick fix in face masks. On top of that, it’s supposed to help clear up problem skin which is something that’s been an issue for me lately. Lots of you know that I suffered with bad acne for years, I actually had to go on roaccutane to clear it up but I still get the odd breakout when I’m tired or stressed.
First of all the packaging is gorgeous. I’m a sucker for packaging and this one ticks all the right boxes, the pot itself looks so cute in my bathroom. The mask is pretty easy to apply. When it dries it tightens and a few of the bits tend to flake off. It’s packed full of things like clay, minerals, green tea, cucumber and lavender – pretty much everything I turn to when I’m having a bad skin day! Plus it’s paraben-free with no artificial colours or fragrances which I really try to look for now.
So is it worth the hype? Well, I have to admit, yes it is. My skin cleared up after using this twice so on the spot front, it did the trick. It definitely reduced redness for me too, it’s supposed to brighten skin as well and my skin did look less tired. Just having a look now I’ve actually found it on sale, a larger pot (50ml) for £35 on Zest Beauty. I’ve wasted so much money on face masks that don’t work, so if you want one that gets to the point, I think I’ve just found it. What’s your favourite mask? Becky x
You know it, it’s my favourite time of the month, Jan beauty faves time! There are so many things I’ve been lining up to try as we went into 2015, and so many of my old favourites that I’ve fallen back in love with.
One of the main things I wanted to tell you guys about this January, if you hadn’t already seen some of them, I’m doing tea videos over on the DrinksTube YouTube channel! It’s literally a dream come true to be able to film tea all day long, and I’ve been making lots of recipes too for you to try. So make sure you head on over to the channel and subscribe here right now! If you don’t like tea, there are so many other drinks recipes, I hope you like it
Talking of tea, go grab a cuppa. I hope you enojy this favourites video, I’ve been trying out some new releases and OMG some makeup from Primark which has become my makeup staple and is so cheap!! Happy watching! Becky x
Roses are red, violets are blue, and Valentines Day makeup has to feel, well, just you. OK so I’ve never been that good at poems but one thing I do believe is that men/women do really prefer the ‘less is more’ when it comes to what we put on our face. The truth of it is, Valentines Day you should just try to be yourself. For obvious reasons, lips are usually the main focus of the day! So I’ve created 3 different looks for your lips in hope that you’ll all find one that suits you!
I announced last year that I was going to be doing some really exciting beauty videos over on a new channel called Beauty Recommended where every Friday me and some of my friends answer one of Britain’s biggest beauty questions. Before you recreate any of the looks below you need to make sure your lips are nice and smooth, free of any dry or chapped skin which is a huge problem for me! So I’ve filmed a video over on Beauty Recommended showing you how to do this, make sure you subscribe to their channel here and take a look at the video after you’ve read this post here.
The first look I’ve created is for all of you red lipstick lovers out there. For me, this is a really traditional Valentines Day look. Deep red lips full of colour and plumpness. For this I’ve chosen the Max Factor Colour Elixir lipstick in Ruby Tuesday. This is probably one of the most stunning and striking reds I own, and doesn’t look too bright or cheap. I love the consistency of this lipstick, as soon as you apply it, it feels so soft. It’s actually packed with things to moisturise your lips – one of my pet hates with lipsticks is when it leaves your lips dry, this actually smells really nice too! You can pick it up from the drugstore for around £7.99.
Next up, one for the bubbly pink types! This look is for those who love a bright lip and want to have a lot of fun with their makeup! I am absolutely head over heels in love with this look and think this is going to be a favourite for me over the summer! The Max Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick in vibrant pink is the most pigmented colour I think I own. You won’t get the stickiness of a gloss with this, so it’s far more low maintenance. It feels quite light too and it’s really really really easy to apply and top up. I am so in love with this I want to get the other shades now too!
Finally, I’ve left my favourite look until last. The glossy nude, for those of us who want to go with the less is more look. Very natural, but with a little bit of plumpness and shine. I’m using a combination of the Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner in Pink Petal and the Max Factor Colour Elixir Gloss in Pristine Nude These have been two staples in my makeup bag throughout the winter. The liner is really easy to use, I’m a big fan of this nude because it gives my lips a bit of natural definition and makes them look a little fuller. The gloss is definitely in my top 5 must have glosses, mainly for its staying power, the beautiful finish and the fact it smells so delicious!
For the rest of your makeup, remember the fail safe tutorial – just be you. For me that’s keeping things quite simple. I’ve gone for a bronze sparkly eye look using my Max Factor Excess Shimmer eyeshadow in bronze and Benefit They’re Real liner and mascara, and my MAC blusher in gingerly. But play around with what you feel comfortable with, you’re date has fallen, or is falling in love with you for just being you. If they’re not then cancel your table booking and plan a night out with your girlie friends who love you for just the way you are!
Remember to check out my video over on Beauty Recommended here and subscribe. Whatever you’re doing this Valentines Day, whether you’re single, engaged, married or spending the day miles apart, remember the most important thing….“be you, because everyone else is taken”

It’s that time of year again, the Christmas parties start and it’s time to get the legs out, having fast faded back to pale from the long-gone summer sun! Now when it comes to fake tan, I tend to be a little lazy. I never seem to leave enough time aside before events so I think I’ve found a better solution from Sally Hansen!
I first found the Airbrush Legs when I was out in America over in the Spring for Vidcon. My legs were looking so blotchy and I had packed a load of dresses to wear so I gave this a try. The concept is pretty easy, spray, rub and go! The tan comes in a can that you hold a little way away from your skin and then spray on. I’m not usually a fan of spray on tans but I loved this so much I went and got 3 cans! It literally looks as if your legs have been airbrushed! There is a slight sparkle to the tan, almost as if you’ve got clear tights on with a little sheen, so subtle that I don’t think it’s shown up on camera very well. Here’s the before and after.
In terms of application, either do this over a dark towel or in the shower as it can spray in places you don’t want it too. I find the best way is to actually spray into your hand and then rub into your legs. The smell of it is quite nice actually, not like a usual fake tan, and it’s easy to wash off your hands so you don’t need to faff around with a glove.
The tan lasts about 3 or 4 days for me, and even after then i’ve still got a nice colour on my legs. The winner for me about this was the way it blurs your legs. You’re not just getting a colour, somehow it manages to even everything out so it literally looks as if you’re wearing tights. I really hate my legs, I have little red veins and cellulite and with this it’s almost invisible so I feel fine to go out with no tights on. I’m hooked! The only thing I would say is make sure you shower before you go to bed, it has a habbit of rubbing off on sheets so after your party or event, shower the bulk of it off so it doesn’t get on your sheets!
This is one of my new party favourites and is honestly so easy to do if you hate putting tan on like me! It’s on offer at the moment in Superdrug for £6.66 or drugstores if you’re in the US. I got mine in light but there is medium and dark is you have darker skin than me. What’s your party must-have? Becky x
This is possibly the most exciting thing that’s happened for me this year. The TalkBeckyTalk blog is here! I have been so excited about telling you about this I could pop! I’ve been doing YouTube for the past few years and have wanted for so long to run a blog alongside it. So I finally took the plunge and have spent the last few months working hard to put this together for you guys! I was so excited to play around with it and wanted a place where we can all come together and chat and I can do a lot more in-depth product reviews for you all.
I’m a little nervous as this is pretty new to me so I’m really hoping you’re going to like it! Have a good look around and let me know what you think! You’ll be able to find out lots more about my TV presenting work that I do as my job and also some of the projects that i’m supporting.
2014 started off pretty badly for me and Holly so I’m determined to make it a much happier one over the next few months and you are all a part of that. So make sure you let me know what you think below and leave me a load of ideas telling me what you would like me to blog about! Are there any products that you’d like a review of or some specific things you’d like me to talk about? Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting me on this journey. Lots of love, Becky x
