CHRISTMAS PARTY NAIL ART!

forum su opzioni binarie When it comes to Christmas and the party season apart from wrapping presents and decorating the house I go all out with pampering myself and getting as festive as possible with nails! Last year I did penguins, and this year I wanted to try to do a different style on each finger. I’m so pleased with how they turned out and they were so easy to do so I wanted to show you how you can do something similar with yours!

I’m trying to grow mine, so if you can prep before you paint you won’t be left with discoloured nails when all the partying is over!

I love these gels, they are so thick and shiny and you don’t need a light to set them just the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel top coat. Plus they are much easier to take off than normal gel, you just use nail polish remover. These are incredible polishes, I tell everyone to have at least one in their makeup collection! I first got hooked on Sally Hansen with all the nail care and nail growth range when I was a teenager, and now I’m slowly building up the colours. The brush is really wide too which makes it a dream to paint your nails.

guru opzioni binarie Once you’ve got two coats of colour on, let it dry. Have a bit of a me moment and let it really dry well because otherwise you’ll smudge the polish when it comes to painting nail art. I used nail gems which I picked up from the market and the Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Pen. At the moment this is free when you buy any two Sally Hansen products from Superdrug. Shake it really well to get the colour on the tip and then you’re ready to go.

binary options trading signals software download For my thumb I did a christmas tree just by doing zig zags and a gem at the top. Try to do all the designs with the top at your cuticle, then it looks the right way up in photos…..it’s all about the Instagram pictures right?! Next along I did two silver lines and two lines of gems. I painted this on the ‘bordeaux glow’ colour so it stood out more. To stick the gems on wait until the silver pen has dried, then paint a coat of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat on and stick on the gems, then put another layer of the top coat on to secure them even more. The snowflake is my favourite and actually really easy to do. Just draw a cross, then another cross diagonally so you’ve got your eight lines and then add on the little flecks. Then put a gem in the middle. Next was my present so again first do a cross, then add little circles for the bows and then a gem in the middle. Finally, for my little finger because I love sparkles so much I covered the whole nail in gems. If you can’t go all out at Christmas when can you??

There are over 40 shades in the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel collection as well as the top coat and you can get one for £9.99 here  I really want to see your festive nails so make sure you tag me (@talkbeckytalk) and I’ll be reposting your pictures! Olivia Palermo X Ciate London Collab

binäre optionen vorhersagen ciate 1 ciate3

opzioni binarie prova gratis Ciate has long been a favourite of mine when it comes to nails. Every time I see the little bows in store I can’t resist buying a new shade. So when I set my eyes on this new collaboration I was excited to try it.

ciate2 ciate4

Olivia Palermo has teamed up with Ciate to create a new Olivia Palermo X Ciate collection, and I have to say the result is beautiful. The colours are very safe, a red a coral and a nude. I tried ‘Hutch – My Go To Red’ and I had high hopes as the polish comes in at almost twice the price of the normal polishes at £17. So first impressions, the brush was beautiful and really made painting my nails easy. The polish itself was gorgeous and definitely looked and felt different to the usual formulation that I’m used to. It glides on and the pigmentation is so bold and plump. It’s formulated with something called Dual Polymer Mesh Lock technology. Although that doesn’t mean much to me, the finish of the polish does! It’s so much better than most polishes I own and looked so thick and glossy. It dried quite fast and after 4 days was still chip free.

A little throw in here but I wanted to mention it. I’ve been so frustrated with bad nail files recently so I came across these Lottie Sundowner ones and wanted to mention them. They file really well and look super cute. Make sure you file your nails well before you paint them!

The price tag is so worth it, for a little bit more I’ve got a polish that looks stunning and won’t chip. Plus the bottle looks really cute on my dressing table! I’m excited to try the other shades and hope the formulas are the same! What do you think of the three shades? Becky x

Changing the Nail Polish Game – Nails Inc

I’ve been meaning to write this post for sometime now, partly because of my obsessive love with nail polishes, and partly because I was totally unaware that Nails Inc had had a bit of a facelift! I’ve always been a huge fan of their polishes for quality and colour range, but now they’ve stepped up a notch, and I’m totally head over heels in love with their new (ish) packaging.

The Autumn/Winter collection is simply gorgeous. They’ve introduced new colours, new formulas, and most noticeably they’ve introduced more square, slick, stylish bottles for some of the collections with so much more wow factor to them. First of all don’t make the mistake I made, lift the top to find the twist top, I was left slightly confused at first when I couldn’t open it (silly me!). The brushes themselves are gorgeous – nice and thick to hold plenty of product which is why I’ve always loved how these polishes go on.

nailsinc2

The gel polishes are slightly thicker and give a plumping effect with a bit of shine, these are my favourite. Two that I’ve fallen in love with are New Oxford Street (a gorgeous deep purple) and Uptown (a pinky nude). At £15 they aren’t the cheapest but will last so much longer than my fave drugstore ones.

naisinc6

There are also Nailkale polishes which are formulated with kale packed with vitamins and said to hydrate and nourish. Whichever range you choose, I swear by these polishes for the zero chip factor.

nailsinc7

A few more bits that I want to rave about. The first is the kensington caviar base coat which is really thick and comes out slightly pink. It’s the best base coat I have because it completely stops the nails from going yellow. Also, they’ve added a gorgeous top top which basically turns the nail finish into a gel. And when you’re ready to take the polish off, they’ve introduced a super easy polish remover pot. I usually hate these, mainly because they don’t work! This one took me by surprise, after a few swirls around the polish comes off. I am hooked, it’s so much easier than using a pad and remover and easy to take if you’re away.

Body Shop Christmas Nails!

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how g-daamnn cute these nails are! This time of year just about anything goes when it comes to nails, and I think I’ve found my favourite design to date! Usually I’m reaching for the glitter but the Body Shop has a new charity campaign that I just had to try and recreate!

NAILS nailit

Usually I’m pretty afraid when it comes to nail art because of my shaky hands, but I was so surprised at how they turned out! I couldn’t decide which design to do so I ended up doing one hand in each design! The Body Shop has teamed up with nail blogger Antonia who has created 2 super cute designs. Check out her instagram here for total nail envy she is just amazing! For every instagram picture uploaded with the #nailit4charity between now and 31st December, the Body Shop will give a contribution to War Child which funds a class for a child. I paint my nails all the time so it might as well be for a good cause!

body shop1

You can try to recreate the two designs or make up your own! I used the Body Shop nail polishes but you can use whichever you have at home. One top tip, use a nail art pen as it makes it so much easier! You can pick one up for around £5 online here. I had so much fun doing this and have had so many comments on my nails, I can’t wait to try some more and now I feel properly in the Christmas spirit! If you tweet me yours (@talkbeckytalk) i’ll make sure I retweet them! Becky x

Nailberry Nail Polish

Lead me not into temptation….I just can’t resist a gorgeous nail polish! Particularly when it’s a brand I’m trying for the first time! I posted a photo of me wearing this polish and lots of you asked to know more about it so I wanted to write a little post about Nailberry.

nails

I first came across this brand about a month ago and have managed to get my hands on two colours, a striking red (pop my berry) and a gorgeous grey (stone) for the Autumn. Having never worn red on my nails before, I finally took the plunge and braved the bright….and I LOVED it!

nails2

I liked the idea behind Nailberry, the polishes are free from the 4 things that can weaken your nails, Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and Camphor. That means nothing to me but I know that there is usually a lot of stuff in polishes that is bad for your nails, and this strips all of that out. Plus none of the polishes are tested on animals which ticks a lot of boxes for me.

The polish itself is beautiful. The applicator brush is a dream, it goes on really nicely and is perfect after two coats. I was really impressed with the pigmentation, because stripping away 4 of the ingredients I was a little worried the finish may suffer. But is doesn’t. This was the polish with no gloss, I actually didn’t feel I needed it as it has enough shine for me.

nails3

This is it after 7 days. I can hand on heart say that this is probably one of the best polishes in terms of not chipping! Only a couple of nails had chipped after over a week I was so impressed. The colours you can choose from are insane! I’m literally counting the months down until I can try out their neons that look so fun! In the meantime things are about to get a whole lot darker for my nails and I’m really excited to try out some of the other shades.

nails4

They are available at some nail bars or online here for £13.50. They aren’t the cheapest of polishes, but if you want something that is really good quality, will last a long time, and won’t completely break the bank, then I would highly recommend trying these bad boys out! What’s your favourite nail polish colour going into the Autumn? Becky x
