I was in Liberty in London a few weeks ago having afternoon tea and bumped into a lovely girl who watches my YouTube channel. I love it when I can have a good chat about all things makeup and she recommended a brand that they sell in store there called Aurelia. I’ve got to be honest I’d never heard of it before, but that’s what made it even more exciting, I love finding new things that I’ve never tried.
source I’m pretty fussy when it comes to skincare. I have combination skin after having pained years of having acne so I know what I like, what I don’t, and I tend to stick to it! The packaging of this range started to win me over as soon as I saw it. It’s what I call ‘tidy packaging’ – clean and fuss free but looks like it’s a high quality product.

It’s picked up quite a few beauty awards and I can see why. The first thing that hits you is the smell. I am obsessed with Eucalyptus so to have it in a cleanser is just divine. It’s a really strong aromatic smell which I have to say I’m a big fan of. It’s also packed with Chamomile, Rosemary and Bergamot, basically smell senses heaven! You rub the cream cleanser onto dry skin and then it comes with a muslin cloth that you soak in warm water before melting all your makeup off. If you’re a fan of the Soap and Glory hot cloth cleanser then you will LOVE this but it comes with the higher price tag of £34. Well worth it in my opinion. My skin felt so soft and hydrated after using it and my skin has really cleared up too. Plus you can buy extra muslin cloths so you have a fresh one for each day of the week.
follow Next up is the Refine and Polish Miracle Balm. This one has really divided me so i’l start with the positives. It smells the same as the cleanser and has pretty much the same plant ingredients so the aroma is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful scrub which turns into a mask if left on as it’s filled with peptides and oils, and then you just rinse it off with water. When I first put it on I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, it’s a waxy/balm texture and usually that freaks me out as I’m so scared of breaking out, but as I’ve learnt over the years, oil actually balances out oil so I have to force myself past that initial reaction! It’s really soft in terms of a scrub which I love and felt so nice when it was on, almost a warming feeling. All the horrible dry skin I get had gone after using it, and it’s become my staple scrub/mask in my bathroom. When I left it on as a mask, I genuinely think my skin has never really felt this soft. The downside is the price. At £57 this is definitely going to have to be more of a treat scrub for me, it’s definitely one of my new favourite scrubs but the price tag means I will be savouring this to last the year!
go site Last but not least, the day and night moisturisers. Both of them have a whipped texture, I usually prefer moisturisers a little silkier but these felt nice and soft and not too heavy. The day one smells of Jasmine and Tubersose and the night of Lavender and Rose, only slightly though so if you’re not overly fussed on scent then you’d be fine with these. They don’t knock my all time favourite moisturisers (Elemis marine cream) off the top spot, but they do come pretty close.
