http://bossons-fute.fr/?fimerois=rencontre-rians&863=88 When I was 14 I first started to get acne, and ever since then, I’ve been through just about every skincare product and hack to try to clear my skin. When I was 19 I went on roaccutane (comment if you would like a more detailed post about my experience of that) but I have never quite managed to completely stay spot free. I get breakouts, particularly when I’m tired, stressed or travelling. I’ve also found myself throwing away my oily skin products and desperately searching for things that can deal with my ever-changing combination skin which it seems to have turned into.
http://brander.fi/?macriot=rencontre-femmes-divorc%D0%93%C2%A9es-algerie&d22=ff Last month I had an incredible FaceTime session with someone who has really had a huge impact on my skin and the way I’m approaching things. I got to meet Louise Thomas-Minns who, spurred on by her own acne journey, founded Skin Lounge which approaches skincare with a scientific, nutritional and holistic philosophy. I was excited to chat to her because she’s very honest and knowledgable and I’m often disappointed with some products in the UK that just don’t seem to be able to do what I need.
She’s an ambassador for Panasonic Beauty, so alongside the nutritional information, I was given the most amazing Panasonic skinalysis and a recommended routine using their premium beauty devices. Louise has so much knowledge about skincare, and her passion about finding products that actually work made me excited to try this new routine. Until then, I didn’t actually know that Panasonic did skincare but it’s a brand I have used for years and really trust so I was intrigued to see what all the hype was about. So, my skincare concerns were along the lines of keeping break outs at bay, but also helping me with dehydrated patches and also I am really trying to get my skin a little plumper as I’m approaching 30. I don’t know what’s happened but it just seems to have lost it’s bounce!
http://beachresortfinder.com/?rtyey=rencontre-bba&534=1d The first thing she recommended was the new Panasonic Facial Steamer EH-XS01. Now I used to steam when I was a teenager so I already knew I was going to love this, but last time I used one it was fiddly and hard to store. I didn’t think it was possible to make skincare tools beautiful, but Panasonic has done what they do best and created a line that is pretty incredible. So this steamer uses nano sized particles, much smaller that regular steam particles. It basically means it’s far less messy to use but more importantly it gets much deeper into your skin. If you’ve ever steamed before you’ll know how relaxing it is, and it’s a great thing to help prevent breakouts and really give your skin a good glow and boost. There’s a 3 minute option too which is genius because the one I had years ago literally felt like it took all night! All the Panasonic Beauty products are shaped around you and what suits your lifestyle so even if you have a really busy day it doesn’t’ have to mean you can’t look after your skin. I keep it on my dressing table because it’s actually really pretty with the white and rose gold.
The next most important thing for me was my diet. So Louise introduced magnesium as a supplement to help with my adrenal glands and stress. What was most interesting was the part about hydration because there’s a big misconception that only water hydrates you. She actually recommended things like walnuts, pumpkin seeds and oily fish which I love. And thankfully I was allowed to keep drinking all the tea I love, which all counts towards my 2 litres a day!
Lastly, Louise recommended a few more bits that I could pop into my everyday routine. The Panasonic 3-in-1 Micro-Current Facial Enhancer has actually become my favourite new beauty tool. I’ve never tried anything like it and you know I love a multi-use product! It works around a really clever titanium head which warms up. Honestly, it’s like being in some sort of spa I’ve got a little bit addicted to doing this every morning. So you put a little bit of toner onto cotton wool and attach it to the device, and by doing this it gets up to 60% more dirt from your pores. I’m almost out of my Sanoflore toner, this is the first product I’ve used from them and I’m hooked. It’s the only toner I’ve used that feels like it’s really cleaning my skin as well as toning. Then you can moisturise with this. So after applying your serum or product you gently move this over your face and the micro-current stimulates the ingredients and moisturises deeper into the skin. I’ve been using my AragoSpa face cream which is from Korea. It’s incredibly cheap (around £25) and rivals my favourite Elemis one but is so hard to get hold of because it always sells out! Then I use my favourite Origins Gin Zing eye cream which is really good for brightening, it’s like a really subtle concealer. You can use the enhancer for this too. Then there’s a cooling mode which is really good to tighten and firm.
Louise also recommended skincare with hyaluronic acid in so I’m on the hunt for that. The main thing was that I wanted something that would fit into my daily routine, which isn’t always long particularly in the morning. The Panasonic Beauty products are so easy to use and to fit seamlessly into my routine, with the option to have a longer pamper session if you have the extra time. The difference already in my skin is really quite noticeable – I haven’t had one single breakout and I’ve been having lots of late nights and enjoying a few gin and tonics! Panasonic also do a Micro-Foaming Facial Cleansing brush which I’ve used a few times and love. It comes with two different brushes, one which is good for problem areas. It’s a cleansing brush as we know and love but Panasonic made sure it was much better. There’s a makeup removal plate which heats up gently so it’s easier to take off stubborn eye makeup……we don’t have how lucky we are, 15 years ago I wish I had access to things like this, it’s genius!
I always say to people, there’s no point in having nice makeup if you don’t look after your skin. Investing in skincare like this invaluable, and if you’ve been on a journey like me then it’s even more important to spend your money where it matters. I’d really recommend checking out Louise’s site too which I’ll link here, and having your own skinalysis so she can help with your own journey. It’s been the lift I needed just before we go into the colder months!
