Faking it: Bondi Sands Tan

forex bank öppettider halmstad It’s that time of year again, it’s getting warmer and all I can think about is getting out the summer clothes and hopefully having a bit of a (fake) tan to go with them! I’ve dabbled over the years with pretty much everything out there so I was really excited when I heard a new one was coming to the UK.

http://www.judithschlosser.ch/?ityrew=truffa-trading-opzioni-digitali&eed=14 Bondi Sands is already huge over in Australia. It was created by a couple of Aussies and getting straight to the point….you’re not going to smell like biscuits! One of my pet hates about tan is the fusty smell and this one has finally bucked the trend. It’s coconut scented so literally smells like cocoa butter. When I walk into my sisters room as she’s been using it I’m always asking her what body butter she’s got on and it’s this.

come si opera con le opzioni binarie The tan comes in both a lotion and a foam, so whatever texture you prefer they’ve got it covered. They also come in two shades, light/medium and dark. I usually use darker tans but the colour on the lighter one is enough for me at the moment. Come summer or nights out i’ll be reaching for the dark more and more. It’s really easy to apply, I had a few patches that needed blending but I get that with all tans. You need to leave it on for about 6 hours and then wash it off. I tend to do this overnight and sleep in dark clothes so it doesn’t ruin the sheets.

Aurelia Skincare: Review

rencontres albi tarn Make way for a new skincare favourite, how have I only just found out about this range? I was in Liberty in London a few weeks ago having afternoon tea and bumped into a lovely girl who watches my YouTube channel. I love it when I can have a good chat about all things makeup and she recommended a brand that they sell in store there called Aurelia. I’ve got to be honest I’d never heard of it before, but that’s what made it even more exciting, I love finding new things that I’ve never tried.

see url I’m pretty fussy when it comes to skincare. I have combination skin after having pained years of having acne so I know what I like, what I don’t, and I tend to stick to it! The packaging of this range started to win me over as soon as I saw it. It’s what I call ‘tidy packaging’ – clean and fuss free but looks like it’s a high quality product.

aurelia1

My hero product of the range has to be the Miracle Cleanser. It’s picked up quite a few beauty awards and I can see why. The first thing that hits you is the smell. I am obsessed with Eucalyptus so to have it in a cleanser is just divine. It’s a really strong aromatic smell which I have to say I’m a big fan of. It’s also packed with Chamomile, Rosemary and Bergamot, basically smell senses heaven! You rub the cream cleanser onto dry skin and then it comes with a muslin cloth that you soak in warm water before melting all your makeup off. If you’re a fan of the Soap and Glory hot cloth cleanser then you will LOVE this but it comes with the higher price tag of £34. Well worth it in my opinion. My skin felt so soft and hydrated after using it and my skin has really cleared up too. Plus you can buy extra muslin cloths so you have a fresh one for each day of the week.

aurelia3

Next up is the Refine and Polish Miracle Balm. This one has really divided me so i’l start with the positives. It smells the same as the cleanser and has pretty much the same plant ingredients so the aroma is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful scrub which turns into a mask if left on as it’s filled with peptides and oils, and then you just rinse it off with water. When I first put it on I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, it’s a waxy/balm texture and usually that freaks me out as I’m so scared of breaking out, but as I’ve learnt over the years, oil actually balances out oil so I have to force myself past that initial reaction! It’s really soft in terms of a scrub which I love and felt so nice when it was on, almost a warming feeling. All the horrible dry skin I get had gone after using it, and it’s become my staple scrub/mask in my bathroom. When I left it on as a mask, I genuinely think my skin has never really felt this soft. The downside is the price. At £57 this is definitely going to have to be more of a treat scrub for me, it’s definitely one of my new favourite scrubs but the price tag means I will be savouring this to last the year!

aurelia4

Last but not least, the day and night moisturisers. Both of them have a whipped texture, I usually prefer moisturisers a little silkier but these felt nice and soft and not too heavy. The day one smells of Jasmine and Tubersose and the night of Lavender and Rose, only slightly though so if you’re not overly fussed on scent then you’d be fine with these. They don’t knock my all time favourite moisturisers (Elemis marine cream)  off the top spot, but they do come pretty close.

Changing the Nail Polish Game – Nails Inc

I’ve been meaning to write this post for sometime now, partly because of my obsessive love with nail polishes, and partly because I was totally unaware that Nails Inc had had a bit of a facelift! I’ve always been a huge fan of their polishes for quality and colour range, but now they’ve stepped up a notch, and I’m totally head over heels in love with their new (ish) packaging.

nailsinc5

nailsinc1

The Autumn/Winter collection is simply gorgeous. They’ve introduced new colours, new formulas, and most noticeably they’ve introduced more square, slick, stylish bottles for some of the collections with so much more wow factor to them. First of all don’t make the mistake I made, lift the top to find the twist top, I was left slightly confused at first when I couldn’t open it (silly me!). The brushes themselves are gorgeous – nice and thick to hold plenty of product which is why I’ve always loved how these polishes go on.

nailsinc2

The gel polishes are slightly thicker and give a plumping effect with a bit of shine, these are my favourite. Two that I’ve fallen in love with are New Oxford Street (a gorgeous deep purple) and Uptown (a pinky nude). At £15 they aren’t the cheapest but will last so much longer than my fave drugstore ones.

naisinc6

There are also Nailkale polishes which are formulated with kale packed with vitamins and said to hydrate and nourish. Whichever range you choose, I swear by these polishes for the zero chip factor.

nailsinc7

A few more bits that I want to rave about. The first is the kensington caviar base coat which is really thick and comes out slightly pink. It’s the best base coat I have because it completely stops the nails from going yellow. Also, they’ve added a gorgeous top top which basically turns the nail finish into a gel. And when you’re ready to take the polish off, they’ve introduced a super easy polish remover pot. I usually hate these, mainly because they don’t work! This one took me by surprise, after a few swirls around the polish comes off. I am hooked, it’s so much easier than using a pad and remover and easy to take if you’re away.

Have you tried the range? What’s your favourite colour? Becky x

GLAMGLOW Face Mask – Worth The Hype?

The cult-fave GLAMGLOW youthmud face mask is something that’s been on my list to try and review for longer than I can remember. It’s probably the most talked about mask and I really wanted to know if it was worth the hype. The £25 price tag for a fairly small jar (15ml) has always stopped me from buying it on a whim, but I finally caved!

glamglow1

It claims to be a 10-minute facial in a jar, which is a tag line that had me hooked because I’m looking for a quick fix in face masks. On top of that, it’s supposed to help clear up problem skin which is something that’s been an issue for me lately. Lots of you know that I suffered with bad acne for years, I actually had to go on roaccutane to clear it up but I still get the odd breakout when I’m tired or stressed.

glamglow2

First of all the packaging is gorgeous. I’m a sucker for packaging and this one ticks all the right boxes, the pot itself looks so cute in my bathroom. The mask is pretty easy to apply. When it dries it tightens and a few of the bits tend to flake off. It’s packed full of things like clay, minerals, green tea, cucumber and lavender – pretty much everything I turn to when I’m having a bad skin day! Plus it’s paraben-free with no artificial colours or fragrances which I really try to look for now.

glamglow3

So is it worth the hype? Well, I have to admit, yes it is. My skin cleared up after using this twice so on the spot front, it did the trick. It definitely reduced redness for me too, it’s supposed to brighten skin as well and my skin did look less tired. Just having a look now I’ve actually found it on sale, a larger pot (50ml) for £35 on Zest Beauty. I’ve wasted so much money on face masks that don’t work, so if you want one that gets to the point, I think I’ve just found it. What’s your favourite mask? Becky x

January Beauty Favourites

You know it, it’s my favourite time of the month, Jan beauty faves time! There are so many things I’ve been lining up to try as we went into 2015, and so many of my old favourites that I’ve fallen back in love with.

One of the main things I wanted to tell you guys about this January, if you hadn’t already seen some of them, I’m doing tea videos over on the DrinksTube YouTube channel! It’s literally a dream come true to be able to film tea all day long, and I’ve been making lots of recipes too for you to try. So make sure you head on over to the channel and subscribe here right now! If you don’t like tea, there are so many other drinks recipes, I hope you like it :)

Talking of tea, go grab a cuppa. I hope you enojy this favourites video, I’ve been trying out some new releases and OMG some makeup from Primark which has become my makeup staple and is so cheap!! Happy watching! Becky x

Date Night / Valentines Day Makeup

Roses are red, violets are blue, and Valentines Day makeup has to feel, well, just you. OK so I’ve never been that good at poems but one thing I do believe is that men/women do really prefer the ‘less is more’ when it comes to what we put on our face. The truth of it is, Valentines Day you should just try to be yourself. For obvious reasons, lips are usually the main focus of the day! So I’ve created 3 different looks for your lips in hope that you’ll all find one that suits you!

lips9

I announced last year that I was going to be doing some really exciting beauty videos over on a new channel called Beauty Recommended where every Friday me and some of my friends answer one of Britain’s biggest beauty questions. Before you recreate any of the looks below you need to make sure your lips are nice and smooth, free of any dry or chapped skin which is a huge problem for me! So I’ve filmed a video over on Beauty Recommended showing you how to do this, make sure you subscribe to their channel here and take a look at the video after you’ve read this post here.

PG lips 7

The first look I’ve created is for all of you red lipstick lovers out there. For me, this is a really traditional Valentines Day look. Deep red lips full of colour and plumpness. For this I’ve chosen the Max Factor Colour Elixir lipstick in Ruby Tuesday. This is probably one of the most stunning and striking reds I own, and doesn’t look too bright or cheap. I love the consistency of this lipstick, as soon as you apply it, it feels so soft. It’s actually packed with things to moisturise your lips – one of my pet hates with lipsticks is when it leaves your lips dry, this actually smells really nice too! You can pick it up from the drugstore for around £7.99.

lips1

lips3 lips2

Next up, one for the bubbly pink types! This look is for those who love a bright lip and want to have a lot of fun with their makeup! I am absolutely head over heels in love with this look and think this is going to be a favourite for me over the summer! The Max Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick in vibrant pink is the most pigmented colour I think I own. You won’t get the stickiness of a gloss with this, so it’s far more low maintenance. It feels quite light too and it’s really really really easy to apply and top up. I am so in love with this I want to get the other shades now too!

lips6 lips5 lips4

Finally, I’ve left my favourite look until last. The glossy nude, for those of us who want to go with the less is more look. Very natural, but with a little bit of plumpness and shine. I’m using a combination of the Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner in Pink Petal and the Max Factor Colour Elixir Gloss in Pristine Nude These have been two staples in my makeup bag throughout the winter. The liner is really easy to use, I’m a big fan of this nude because it gives my lips a bit of natural definition and makes them look a little fuller. The gloss is definitely in my top 5 must have glosses, mainly for its staying power, the beautiful finish and the fact it smells so delicious!

lips8 lips7

For the rest of your makeup, remember the fail safe tutorial – just be you. For me that’s keeping things quite simple. I’ve gone for a bronze sparkly eye look using my Max Factor Excess Shimmer eyeshadow in bronze and Benefit They’re Real liner and mascara, and my MAC blusher in gingerly. But play around with what you feel comfortable with, you’re date has fallen, or is falling in love with you for just being you. If they’re not then cancel your table booking and plan a night out with your girlie friends who love you for just the way you are!

Remember to check out my video over on Beauty Recommended here and subscribe. Whatever you’re doing this Valentines Day, whether you’re single, engaged, married or spending the day miles apart, remember the most important thing….“be you, because everyone else is taken”

What I Got For Christmas!

Tis the season to be jolly, and this Christmas I had a little more to smile about than expected. I knew this year was going to be a tough one, the first one without dad, but my friends and family made it so much easier. I’ve picked out some of my favourite beauty and fashion products in this what I got for Christmas video!

These are always some of my favourite to watch for two reasons – first of all I think the gifts people get tell you so much about them as a person and what they like, second, I get so many gift ideas for me and others from watching these!!

xmas fin

This year I was just so lucky to be surrounded by family, that was the biggest gift of them all. Along with that I got some beautiful jewellery, luggage, clothes, haircare and other gorgeous bits! Also there is a DIY present in this video that made me cry when I opened it, I think it’s something you should all do for one of your friends it was just so special.

I hope you all had the best Christmas and have the most amazing New Year. Just a little apology here for not posting as much in December, it hit me a little harder than I thought emotionally and I’ve taken lots of time out to be with my family. There is a special announcement at the end of the video that I hope will make up for it! Love you all, Becky xx

My Winter Evening Routine

This was by far one of my favourite videos to put together for you. I am feeling so Christmassy and have been spending most evenings wrapping presents, drinking mulled wine and visiting friends! So I wanted to put together a winter evening routine video showing you how to touch your makeup up if you’re popping out for the evening, but don’t want to spend ages getting ready. After all Christmas time is about relaxing right?

winter eve

A few things that I’m really excited to tell you about….first of all a new Soap and Glory blush that doubles up as a highlighter too. It’s multi-shade so really is perfect for defining and giving a little sparkle. Also, make sure you watch right until the end as I’ve got a cute little gift guide if you’re last minute buying for men for Christmas. There’s a pair of cufflinks that I think you’ll fall in love with, in fact there’s a load of jewellery on that site that you might just want to keep for yourself! Happy shopping, Becky x

Body Shop Christmas Nails!

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how g-daamnn cute these nails are! This time of year just about anything goes when it comes to nails, and I think I’ve found my favourite design to date! Usually I’m reaching for the glitter but the Body Shop has a new charity campaign that I just had to try and recreate!

NAILS nailit

Usually I’m pretty afraid when it comes to nail art because of my shaky hands, but I was so surprised at how they turned out! I couldn’t decide which design to do so I ended up doing one hand in each design! The Body Shop has teamed up with nail blogger Antonia who has created 2 super cute designs. Check out her instagram here for total nail envy she is just amazing! For every instagram picture uploaded with the #nailit4charity between now and 31st December, the Body Shop will give a contribution to War Child which funds a class for a child. I paint my nails all the time so it might as well be for a good cause!

body shop1

You can try to recreate the two designs or make up your own! I used the Body Shop nail polishes but you can use whichever you have at home. One top tip, use a nail art pen as it makes it so much easier! You can pick one up for around £5 online here. I had so much fun doing this and have had so many comments on my nails, I can’t wait to try some more and now I feel properly in the Christmas spirit! If you tweet me yours (@talkbeckytalk) i’ll make sure I retweet them! Becky x

Soap and Glory Christmas Madness!

I couldn’t wait another second to write this post, Christmas shoppers, the gold has just landed! Each year, just weeks before Christmas, Soap and Glory release a limited edition gift set worth so much more than they sell it for, and this year they have decked the halls with much more than Holly! Without a doubt this set will be sold out within days.

soap1

So let’s get down to business, what’s in the box. Well to start off with, it’s over £75 worth of goodies for just £29, I mean, that is just amazeballs. Christmas really has come early! My biggest bug with gift sets is that usually half of the stuff inside I never use, but this is where this set differs. It’s packed full of their hero products, and unlike a lot of sets, there’s no scrimping here, all of the products are full size!

soap3

soap4

Let’s start with some of my favourites. Sugar Crush body scrub is in there which smells of lime and is one of my shower must-haves, along with The Righteous Butter body butter which is super soft and smells gorgeous, and the Hand Dream super cream which is a handbag staple. Then there’s the Orangeasm body wash which I featured in my gift guide, and one of my favourite lip glosses – Sexy Mother pucker.

soap6

soap5

Throw in their hero mascara, some face wipes, a moisture lotion, foot cream and a shower butter, and you’ve got yourself the creme de la creme of gifts. There’s no expense spared with the packaging either, it’s all beautifully boxed and comes tied within a cute pink fabric bag. This Christmas bundle, which is a collab with London fashion doodler Hattie Stewart, really does give you the ultimate bang for your beauty budget. The one downside? You won’t want to give it away, so get ready to grab one for yourself too! It’s available from this Friday in store at Boots or Boots online. Go, go go! Becky x
