nature lover dating Hey guys, I thought I’d give you a little life update here over on my blog! Apart from beauty, more and more of my videos are becoming about my home life and interior and general life topics as I grow up and start having to make lots of decisions. I get a lot of questions about growing up and all the things that come with it, like jobs, relationships, money and buying houses. As some of you might know I have moved house this week (with my sister Holly) and it feels great to finally be in. So I wanted to share a few pictures of our new home – these will be the first sneak peek pictures I’ve shared online! And I also wanted to talk about what I hope will happen in the next chapter of my life!
http://bolataruhan.org/?fiopry=site-de-rencontre-orange-gratuit&394=3c I’ve gone through quite a few changes this year, and it’s made me think about my future and what I want from it. I’ve been playing around with Aviva’s Shape my Future tool and it’s been so fun looking at what my hopes for the future are and what I need to do to get there. It’s so easy to use and it lets you daydream about the future you might want, and then looks at how much you’ll need to afford all the things you want!
Family is a huge part of my life, and I know that over the next few years I would love to settle down and start thinking about having a family. I’d love to have a huge wedding with all my family and friends and probably make it last the whole weekend. I would love to have children and I hope I’ll be able to help them with school and university and all the things my parents helped me with which is so expensive now! I would love to find a dream home for us all to live in, hopefully near my sister and her family, and maybe a holiday home where we can go each year. Travelling is such a big part of my life and I hope I can do that in years to come and take my family too. I’m also taking big steps this year to eat better and be more active so I really hope in the future I’ll have enough money to keep buying really good quality food and to do all the activities like yoga that I love doing.
http://penizeamy.cz/friopre/1301 I was quite surprised about how much the future I want will cost, but I was also really happy that I’m already taking steps to save and earn so hopefully I won’t be too far off where I want to be. I did a bit of a fun twist on the popular ‘draw my life’ tag that was going around on YouTube, and decided to do a ‘draw my future’. It talks about a lot of my dreams and hopes that I’ve never shared online, you can watch the full video here, I’m even in a wedding dress! You can have a play with the Shape my Future tool here, it’s so fun and I think you’ll be quite surprised! I really hope it helps some of you in the way it helped me.
source url So now for the next chapter of my life, my new home. Here are a few pictures of my new house and I’m so excited to share these! Already it feels so much more like a home than where we are before. It was scary moving again and realising we weren’t happy there, so it’s made me think a lot more about planning things a little better in the future! A lot of you guys reached out to me saying you were in the same situation. A house has to feel like a home and I think we have finally found it.
Each time London Fashion Week comes around I get so excited but I also get a little nervous about what to wear and how hectic it’s going to be! This year there was a lot of emphasis about body shape, which I’m really in support of, so I decided to keep things fairly simple. Whatever I’m wearing, I always feel better when I’m bronzed, I always think it looks better in photos!
I’ve just got back off holiday and I’ve been using the Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 week self tan. I find the medium mousse works really well for my skin colour, and lasts so well as a base tan to get me through the week. I’ve always favoured mousses because they are so easy to apply, and this one doesn’t have that distinct tan smell that puts some people off.
I decided to wear a skirt at LFW so I needed a little extra help for my legs and here is a hero product that I tell all my friends and family about. It’s the Vita Liberata Body Blur and I’ve been using it religiously for a while now. It’s amazing if you’re going to an event or are in a rush and want a product that will instantly tan you on your body or face but also covers up bruises and little veins. Goodbye blotchy legs! My friends get addicted to this when they try mine before we go out and then the next day I’ve usually got a text asking what that ‘amazing’ blur product was. I even find it helps cover cellulite so I don’t need to wear tights. Don’t just take my word for it, scroll down for the before and after! You can actually get a free sample of this with every purchase of the Vita Liberata pHenomenal Tan until the end of September. I’ve got a code if you want to try the range – just use BECKY20 here.
I loved LFW this year, the emphasis on simplicity and the gorgeous materials that were used. I don’t live in London so it’s always a treat to go in and to go to events like this! I’m giving away 5 Vita Liberata Body Blurs! All you need to do is comment your favourite item of makeup below and follow Vita Liberata on Instagram (@vitaliberata) Love Becky x
I uploaded a period hacks video over on my channel and I never imagined the response to be so positive!! So many of you contacted me to share your tips too and also food to eat which included food to eat to get us through that time of the month! So I’ve been making a few changes and wanted to share a bit of a food diary to help you through what can feel like a lifetime. I get quite bad PMS (premenstrual syndrome), and three out of four of us will get this so I feel like we need all the help we can get!
I’ve been trying out something called Cleanmarine. Cleanmarine for women, is a krill oil based supplement and naturally rich in omegas. Omega 3 fatty acids in krill are meant to really help with PMS symptoms like anxiety and cravings, plus my mum is always telling me to take that because it’s so good! It also has rosemary oil in to help with your mood and it’s packed with vitamins that really help sustain you month round, and particularly at that time of the month!
These include Vitamin D3, otherwise known as the sunshine vitamin, which regulates the immune system and keeps everything in balance, Vitamins B1, B2 and B6 which support the nervous system and keep your energy levels in check, and Krill oil, which brings all the goodness of omega 3 fatty acids and helps to lift your mood and aid concentration. It’s designed to really reduce PMS symptoms that women suffer with, like headaches and bloating, so I was really keen to put this to the test. I’ve noticed a really big difference in my skin, and also I’m sleeping so much better since incorporating this into my daily routine. I usually stuff my face with chocolate at that time of the month but now I’ve noticed that I’m much more in control of the cravings.
Obviously I only have my own experience to go by, but Cleanmarine have spent a lot of time working with women to put this to the test. After using it for 90 days, 69% of women said they had improved symptoms and a massive 81% said they had reduced breast tenderness. a massive 69% reported less Bloating and 59% less cravings! You take two a day and it’s available in health stores, pharmacies or online here.
As well as this, I’ve been stocking up on some key foods that I think have made a huge difference. First of all I’ve swapped junk food like crisps and chocolate for coconut and cocoa protein balls. They are so easy to make and are much better for you but they taste just like chocolate. I’ve filmed a video showing you how to make them if you click here.
Also, pick foods that are high in iron and antioxidants like spinach, nuts and quinoa. One of my favourite salads is a strawberry, goat’s cheese, almond and spinach salad. It makes me feel so much less bloated than what I would usually have. Giving into cravings makes me feel so much worse! If you don’t like salads, you can get antioxidants from fruits like blueberries and raspberries.
Finally, don’t forget to drink lots of water. Fizzy drinks will just bloat you so avoid those. Keeping hydrated helps flush everything out and will also just make you feel like you’ve got a lot more energy!
Most importantly, open up about PMS and periods. I was so nervous about doing my video but I am so glad I did. I feel so much better now and know so much more because once I spoke out about it so many people have talked to me about things that help them. You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel and also I bet your friends and family will have little tips and tricks that you didn’t know about! What’s your biggest period worry or tip? Love Becky x
First of all, I just want to say if feels really lovely to be writing this as I haven’t blogged in ages. I loved setting this blog up, but I’ve never been as confident at writing as I have talking (surprise surprise) so it’s been a little neglected over the past few months. So i’ve decided to make this a weekly blog. Every Friday i’ll be posting, and I’m going to make it a little more personal too so a bit about what I’ve been doing that week. I don’t have a separate vlog channel so i’ll be sharing a lot more of my life on here along with product reviews from what I’ve been using or new releases. So here’s to 2016 and the Friday blog.
So this week I’ve come away skiing with my best friend Jemma and my family. We always try to come away for New Year just to take a bit of time out in the mountains and spend quality time together chatting round a log fire. It’s moments like this I treasure forever. This year there hasn’t been much snow but we’ve had lots of time to relax and laugh. Jemma has the most amazing blog called Sensitive Shell which you can read here. She has very sensitive skin and eczema and can’t have dairy, yet she finds the best products that really work for her and I can’t recommend it enough if you are looking for products like that or just want a really good read with the most incredible photos and a good laugh. Go and say hi!
When I’m away in the snow I pretty much go makeup free but I binge on the best of the best for winter skincare and rely on it to keep my skin hydrated without breaking out in spots. I’m super picky with skincare. The main thing I struggle with is lips, so I bring three! The first, my Kiehls Lip Balm #1 which is really good at protecting lips against the cold and wind. I use this when I’m skiing as it doesn’t really smell and has SPF in it. Then I bring my Nuxe Reve de miel which is a really intense thick lip mask which I use at night to repair my lips. It’s got a really subtle floral smell but is a bit too thick to wear in the day for me so I put this on before bed. It’s packed with plant extracts, oils and shea butter so if you’re looking for a bit of a repair product, this is it. Finally I’ve got my Clarins lip comfort oil in honey which has fast become a fave for me the last month. I love Clarins because their products are filled with plant extracts and this leaves your lips really soft but is super shiny and smells really sweet. It’s great at night if you love gloss like I do. Plus the applicator holds a huge amount of product so you don’t have to apply loads.
My hands are always incredibly dry skiing so this year I’ve bought my L’Occitane almond hand cream and all the girls have been using this mainly because it smells so lovely! It contains both almond milk and almond oil but is really light so your hands don’t feel sticky. I’ve packed my beauty staple Caudalie Beauty Elixir mini which is always in my travel bag. I usually hate face sprays, I don’t get the point of them, but this one is incredible. It’s made from grape extract and packed with anti-oxidants which leave my skin feeling so fresh. It smells of mint which I love and I use this as a toner. I’ve really got into using serums after my sister telling me the importance of using them (she has great skin) and I since my Superdrug one ran out I’ve been using the Sarah Chapman age repair serum. This is a range I’ve wanted to try for a while but have always resisted……why oh why didn’t I try this before! Oh my goodness, this has made my skin look so much smoother and I am noticing such a difference in the way my skin looks. It’s got peptides in which for me really helps to plump my skin without feeling greasy. It’s £48 but probably the best serum I’ve ever owned. The overnight facial is next on my list to try! I’m a firm believer in finding cheaper makeup but if you’re going to spend your money, spend it on skincare. You won’t regret it.
My cleanser is my go-to yearly favourite Aurelia miracle cleanser which has won loads of awards and not surprisingly. First of all the smell is absolutely gorgeous. It’s got eucalyptus, bergamot and chamomile so I really look forward to putting this on. It’s probiotic skincare so is doing a lot to help the skin. It’s really creamy and great at pulling all the makeup off, you use this with a hot cloth so it really opens up all the pores and feels lovely. My skin looks so much brighter when I’ve used this. Next up exfoliation, and I’ve got my Goldfaden MD Doctors scrub. I’ve talked about this lots this year and am pretty stuck at only wanting to use this because I can’t find a better one. It’s certainly not cheap at £65, but it contains ruby crystals and is basically a microdermabrasion exfoliator so get ready for a serious scrub! At first I didn’t think I would like this, but after using it three of four times my skin got used to this and now I used it every other day and nothing else will get rid of the rough patches I struggle with.
For my day eye cream I’ve got my Elemis pro-radiance illuminating eye balm. I had been waiting for years for Elemis to bring out a decent eye cream as I felt like it was missing from their range, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. It’s got chamomile and arnica in so it really nourishes but for me the best part is the cooling applicator. It’s so lovely putting this on. It’s also got blurring powder in it and brighteners so it blurs the under eye area almost like a really subtle concealer. You don’t need much of this product at a time. For my day cream when I’m not skiing I’ve got the Body Shop Drops of Youth moisturiser. I’ve dabbled in the Body Shop skincare but this is hands down my favourite so far. As I said, I’m super picky with skincare, but this is one I can see myself sticking with as I’m really impressed with the results. I loved their drops of youth range but I think this is going to be popular for people looking for an everyday moisturiser that is great for combination skin but also gives you a slight blurring effect. I’m all about plumping now and this is really good for that. Used with the Sarah Chapman serum, this looks incredible. It’s so affordable and I would put this up with some of my high end day moisturisers.
At night I swap things up a bit and change to my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydra-firm Sleeping Cream. This is a really good overnight facial. If you’re looking for serious hydration but don’t want something that feels heavy and oily, then this is it. I loved the day version of this, but this is a more intense version and really helps to firm and hydrate my skin with the conditioning butters. It doesn’t really smell of much, so would be good if you’re not overly wowed by products that smell or have sensitive skin. For my eye cream I’ve got my Caudalie eye lifting balm. I’m really trying to prevents any wrinkles and fine lines as I know they are not far around the corner and to be honest I already have quite a few. This is packed with peptides so it’s going to give you all the help you need with helping to lift the eyes, prevent ageing and smooth over any fine lines.
Just because I’m skiing, doesn’t mean I don’t want to be hair free so I’ve packed my Venus snap razor. Venus razors are pretty much the only ones I will ever use because I can shave in a hurry and won’t be covered in cuts. They usually have four of five blades and if you use them with the Olay head then you’ve got loads of moisture going onto your skin and you don’t need to use a shaving cream. The snap is the same head but a smaller handle and comes with a really handy case that means your razor is well protected. I use this at home when I’m away for the night. Then for a bit of a face mask detox I’ve got my Soap and Glory Fab Pore mask and peel. This is so good at getting rid of blemishes and spots that I have. It really gently gets rid of dead skin cells and helps to shrink pores as well as getting rid of any excess oil which I really struggle with.
I love the mountain water because my hair always feel so soft. I am so lazy with washing my hair when I’m away and I get through so much dry shampoo. My current favourite is the Alberto Balsam clear and fresh which has a green tea and citrus scent. This is probably the best smelling dry shampoo I own because it’s so fresh. It doesn’t irritate my scalp and doesn’t leave my hair feeling gritty or looking white. So it gets all the ticks from me. Shampoo and conditioner wise I actually forgot mine so I managed to find one of my current faves from L’Oreal Paris. I’ve been using the Extreme Total Repair and it’s left my hair looking and feeling so healthy which I can’t seen to find online in the UK but here is the Total Repair which is my UK favourite. Everytime someone asks me about the best drugstore shampoo I will usually direct them to L’Oreal Paris. They are just as good as some of my high end ones and I don’t understand how they are able to sell them for the price they are because the formula is just incredible. Luckily I didn’t forget my L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 CICA Cream. This is my third bottle! You can put this on when your hair is wet or dry and it really helps damaged hair to smooth the ends and keep it looking shiny and healthy all day long. My affordable hair hero.
Finally, when I’m out on the slopes and need some serious SPF. I’ve got my Clarins UV Plus Day Screen (SPF 50) which again has all the plant extracts you’d expect from Clarins but is one of the very few higher SPFs that doesn’t leave you looking white as a ghost or with a thick layer of grease on your face. I love it. And no burn at the end of the day which is always a huge test for me of sun screens!
Because it’s New Year and I’m all about reflecting and planning, I’ve been listening to loads of music whilst i’m out here. My headphones are from Claires and I just fell in love with the design. The sound is pretty good considering how affordable they are too. My diary is from Paperchase. It was a present and I just love the glitter on it. I’ve written down so many goals and hopes for next year, mainly to take more time with family and to relax more. Life is so precious, make the most of every moment. So i’ll leave you with this quote. I have realised in 2015 I’ve held on to a lot that perhaps hasn’t been good for me. Stress from work, friendships that haven’t been that good, feelings about love that can’t be changed. So as hard as it is, 2016 for me is going to be all about letting go and moving forward. Here’s to the year of letting go and embracing the ‘right now’. What’s your favourite quote? Becky xxx
I’ve struggled with oily/combination skin for as long as I can remember so anything that claims to get rid of shine I immediately have to try and test! The Benefit POREfessional license to blot sits alongside a few other products that have tried to tackle the good old problem of shiny skin!
I’m already a huge fan of the Benefit POREfessional primer to smooth skin and keep shine away but I still need something after a few hours. Blot on the Spot is an instant oil-blotting stick that claims to keep shine away for 6 hours. I love the idea of this but am always skeptical of products like this so I was keeping everything crossed for this one. The application is really easy and I love the point on the product which makes it really easy to get down the side of the nose and under eyes which is where I always get shine! You just slide it across your face and then I blend.
It’s quite thick and waxy but I’d expect that from something that was going to hold shine away. At first I wasn’t sure about the consistency but it felt quite soft when it went on and didn’t clog my pores up. It actually made my skin look smoother but you just need to get used to the waxy feel. In terms of shine, it instantly mattified my skin and kept it looking smooth for about 4 hours. I tend to prefer blotting papers for getting rid of shine which don’t tend to affect the makeup but as anti-shine products go, this is pretty damn good. Becky x
POREfessional License To Blot Available from Boots for £15.50 here
This weeks post is all about Spring skincare as I’ve been counting down the days for this warmer weather to finally arrive! One of the first things I do apart from changing my makeup, is to switch things up skincare wise. My skin is combination so I’m constantly battling with skin that can’t make its mind up, and I wanted to talk a little more about some of the products that have really helped.
For the past year Caudalie skincare has stolen my heart and I just can’t get enough of their products. I wrote a post last year all about why I love the range, and now there is a new launch that I wanted to talk about. The beauty elixir and vinosource range have been staples in my bathroom that I can’t live without, but I’m switching things up a little and trying out a gorgeous new selection of their products.
The Polyphenol C15 range is designed to protect the skin from free radicals that we face everyday and to treat and help prevent wrinkles. My life is constantly on the move, I’m travelling to London each week, driving everywhere and spend a lot of time in the city. I protect my skin against the sun but to be honest I’ve never done anything to protect against the city air and the environment! First of all I want to talk about the overnight detox oil which I was already using last year as part of my skincare routine. For me this is the hero product of the range, I apply it before I go to bed and leave it to work its magic. It has honestly made such a difference, my skin is so much softer but it doesn’t leave me with greasy skin as it’s a dry oil – I notice such a difference when I don’t use this. All the products have anti-oxidant grape seed in and this one has carrot oil and lavender which make it smell amazing.
Next up are the moisturisers. The Broad Spectrum SPF20 Anti-Wrinkle Protect Fluid and the New Broad Spectrum SPF20 Anti-Wrinkle Protect Cream. I use the the fluid as my day moisturiser and it’s replaced my much-loved Elemis pro-collagen cream doing exactly the same thing. It’s packed with vitamin C and makes my skin feel and look a lot plumper which I like, basically I look less tired!! The new cream is lovely too, same smell as the rest of the range but this is slightly richer. On days when my skin is dry in places or sometimes overnight as a mask I use this.
Finally to finish the collection is the Anti-Wrinkle Defence serum and Anti-Wrinkle Eye and Lip cream. When I have more time in the morning I love using the serum especially if I’m having a bad skin day. It really helps smooth things over a little. My mum is a big fan of the eye and lip cream as it really makes a difference for her with tightening the skin. I don’t need that yet but I’m sure i’m not far off!
I’m actually doing a really fun giveaway for you all to celebrate the Spring arriving! 10 anti-oxidant boxes are up for grabs packed full of deluxe samples of all the range for you to try. All you need to do it go on twitter and follow @caudalieUK and @talkbeckytalk and tweet us using #WinSkincare. Do the same on Instagram following @caudalie and @talkbeckytalk and leave a comment using #WinSkincare under one of their pictures.
Also, you can make your own fun film over on the Caudalie website here which I did too. It’s basically a story of your life, and when you create one you’re entered to win a box too!
My entire collection of Spring skincare products will be over on my channel tomorrow here. So make sure you don’t miss that either. I know skincare can be a big investment so it’s really important to try it and get it right! Caudalie is a brand I have come to trust and love, and I’m pretty tough on skincare products because I have such difficult skin and this one has fast become one of my favourites! What’s your staple skincare product? Have you tried any of the Caudalie range? Becky x
Make way for a new skincare favourite, how have I only just found out about this range? I was in Liberty in London a few weeks ago having afternoon tea and bumped into a lovely girl who watches my YouTube channel. I love it when I can have a good chat about all things makeup and she recommended a brand that they sell in store there called Aurelia. I’ve got to be honest I’d never heard of it before, but that’s what made it even more exciting, I love finding new things that I’ve never tried.
I’m pretty fussy when it comes to skincare. I have combination skin after having pained years of having acne so I know what I like, what I don’t, and I tend to stick to it! The packaging of this range started to win me over as soon as I saw it. It’s what I call ‘tidy packaging’ – clean and fuss free but looks like it’s a high quality product.
My hero product of the range has to be the Miracle Cleanser. It’s picked up quite a few beauty awards and I can see why. The first thing that hits you is the smell. I am obsessed with Eucalyptus so to have it in a cleanser is just divine. It’s a really strong aromatic smell which I have to say I’m a big fan of. It’s also packed with Chamomile, Rosemary and Bergamot, basically smell senses heaven! You rub the cream cleanser onto dry skin and then it comes with a muslin cloth that you soak in warm water before melting all your makeup off. If you’re a fan of the Soap and Glory hot cloth cleanser then you will LOVE this but it comes with the higher price tag of £34. Well worth it in my opinion. My skin felt so soft and hydrated after using it and my skin has really cleared up too. Plus you can buy extra muslin cloths so you have a fresh one for each day of the week.
Next up is the Refine and Polish Miracle Balm. This one has really divided me so i’l start with the positives. It smells the same as the cleanser and has pretty much the same plant ingredients so the aroma is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful scrub which turns into a mask if left on as it’s filled with peptides and oils, and then you just rinse it off with water. When I first put it on I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it, it’s a waxy/balm texture and usually that freaks me out as I’m so scared of breaking out, but as I’ve learnt over the years, oil actually balances out oil so I have to force myself past that initial reaction! It’s really soft in terms of a scrub which I love and felt so nice when it was on, almost a warming feeling. All the horrible dry skin I get had gone after using it, and it’s become my staple scrub/mask in my bathroom. When I left it on as a mask, I genuinely think my skin has never really felt this soft. The downside is the price. At £57 this is definitely going to have to be more of a treat scrub for me, it’s definitely one of my new favourite scrubs but the price tag means I will be savouring this to last the year!
Last but not least, the day and night moisturisers. Both of them have a whipped texture, I usually prefer moisturisers a little silkier but these felt nice and soft and not too heavy. The day one smells of Jasmine and Tubersose and the night of Lavender and Rose, only slightly though so if you’re not overly fussed on scent then you’d be fine with these. They don’t knock my all time favourite moisturisers (Elemis marine cream) off the top spot, but they do come pretty close.
Aurelia skincare available at Liberty in London or online here.
The cult-fave GLAMGLOW youthmud face mask is something that’s been on my list to try and review for longer than I can remember. It’s probably the most talked about mask and I really wanted to know if it was worth the hype. The £25 price tag for a fairly small jar (15ml) has always stopped me from buying it on a whim, but I finally caved!
It claims to be a 10-minute facial in a jar, which is a tag line that had me hooked because I’m looking for a quick fix in face masks. On top of that, it’s supposed to help clear up problem skin which is something that’s been an issue for me lately. Lots of you know that I suffered with bad acne for years, I actually had to go on roaccutane to clear it up but I still get the odd breakout when I’m tired or stressed.
First of all the packaging is gorgeous. I’m a sucker for packaging and this one ticks all the right boxes, the pot itself looks so cute in my bathroom. The mask is pretty easy to apply. When it dries it tightens and a few of the bits tend to flake off. It’s packed full of things like clay, minerals, green tea, cucumber and lavender – pretty much everything I turn to when I’m having a bad skin day! Plus it’s paraben-free with no artificial colours or fragrances which I really try to look for now.
So is it worth the hype? Well, I have to admit, yes it is. My skin cleared up after using this twice so on the spot front, it did the trick. It definitely reduced redness for me too, it’s supposed to brighten skin as well and my skin did look less tired. Just having a look now I’ve actually found it on sale, a larger pot (50ml) for £35 on Zest Beauty. I’ve wasted so much money on face masks that don’t work, so if you want one that gets to the point, I think I’ve just found it. What’s your favourite mask? Becky x
You know it, it’s my favourite time of the month, Jan beauty faves time! There are so many things I’ve been lining up to try as we went into 2015, and so many of my old favourites that I’ve fallen back in love with.
One of the main things I wanted to tell you guys about this January, if you hadn’t already seen some of them, I’m doing tea videos over on the DrinksTube YouTube channel! It’s literally a dream come true to be able to film tea all day long, and I’ve been making lots of recipes too for you to try. So make sure you head on over to the channel and subscribe here right now! If you don’t like tea, there are so many other drinks recipes, I hope you like it
Talking of tea, go grab a cuppa. I hope you enojy this favourites video, I’ve been trying out some new releases and OMG some makeup from Primark which has become my makeup staple and is so cheap!! Happy watching! Becky x
I’ve long been a fan of Simple facewipes. There isn’t a day when I either don’t have them in my bathroom cupboard as a skincare essential or am grabbing them as I rush through an airport on holiday!
So I was really excited to learn that they are releasing a limited edition version of their best-seller Kind To Skin cleansing facial wipes as part of their #KindToCitySkin campaign. I’m a total sucker for anything that looks pretty and girlie so I absolutely adore the design. They’ve teamed up with illustrator Kate Forrester who’s designed a picture of a rather glam city girl walking in Autumn leaves. I like to think this is how I look when I’m in the city but really I’m usually wrapped up and hair all over the place!
Being around pollution has a huge effect on your skin, the days I spend working in London or when I’m out and about in Nottingham, I get home and my face feels so much more tired and grubby. So one of my handbag essentials, along with hand sanitizer and powder, is usually always face wipes!
The last few days I’ve been popping these in my bag to try out whilst i’m on the go, and I have to say they don’t disappoint. I’ve always been a fan of the smell and feel of these wipes. They smell so subtle, almost of nothing, which is great if you don’t want to irritate your skin because there’s no artificial perfume or colour or any of the other things they usually add! These are probably some of the softest wipes I own, which is why I’ve always bought them, particularly if I’m on the go and my skin is already quite sensitive to everything around me. They’re packed with Vitamin E and Pro Vitamin B5 which helps make them feel so damn good!
They also claim to remove waterproof mascara with a new formula, so of course I had to put this to the test! The little beauties didn’t let me down, here’s a before and after pic, all gone!
I’m savouring these as they are limited edition! You can buy them from Boots from the 29th October and will be available until the end of the year for £3.49. This is probably one of the most understated beauty essentials I own.
