TALKBECKYTALK HOLIDAY MAKEUP MUST HAVES!

Strattera utan recept I wanted to share with you guys a few special photos from my holiday and to tell you a little about where I went, what I got up to and my holiday beauty must haves. I had always wanted to go to Ibiza so I booked a week with my mum and her friend. We actually had a week of rain (only this could happen to me!) so it meant lots of free time in my hotel room getting ready for our evening meals with the products I had packed.

opcje binarne najlepsza strategia I love getting ready when I’m on holiday but I do have to change my usual makeup routine with less makeup and stick to a few cult staples of mine. Besides cramming as many minis as I can in my case, I always turn to makeup palettes which allow me to change my makeup up each night without having to pack my whole collection. The first palette I took was my Max Factor Masterpiece nude palette. There are 3 in the range, my favourite is the ‘golden nudes’ because it’s filled with natural browns and the option to make things a little smokier! My mum loves the ‘rose nudes’ because it has more pink in it and my sister loves ‘cappucino nudes’ because it’s great for darker more dramatic eyes! The pigmentation on these are great, and you get 8 shades for £14.99. I wore this most nights as there’s a shade for pretty much whatever you’re wearing.

I’d had my eye on this since it came out and a friend of mine bought me it as a surprise! First of all the colour payoff is incredible. I don’t own too much Charlotte Tilbury but the more I try the more I realise just how worth the money it is. This palette has a 2 blushers, a bronzer, highlighter and 3 eye primers and colour so it’s perfect for when you’re on the go.

The food was amazing, and my top tip if you visit would be to hire a car so you can find all the beautiful beaches and places to eat!

dissertation ideas for criminology I can’t be without a mascara on holiday and this year I packed my Max Factor Masterpiece Max. Some of you guys will know I pretty much cleared the drugstores out of the Max Factor Masterpiece Transform (in brown) in my TalkBeckyTalk YouTube videos so it’s time for a new one for me! The wand on this is pretty cool. I love the end of it because you can pack loads of the product on your lashes and then the wand helps to separate and build up to 400% volume perfect for some serious lashes! I don’t get that horrible dropdown with Max Factor mascaras and it’s even more important for me when I’m in the heat!

indikator binära optioner I also packed the Clarins Eye Makeup Double Fix which claims to make your favourite mascaras and eyebrow products waterproof. I swam in this and it did run a little but I have to say it kept my mascara on all day without running and did last against the rain and sweat!

This is a really great eyeliner if you want a product that can create a number of looks. I used the edge on holiday for a really subtle liner which stayed on all night (it’s meant to stay for 12 hours). If you use the thick side it creates a really high impact look. I’ve actually done a video showing you how to create that smoky “cat eyes” look using the Max Factor mascara, eyeshadow and liner I’ve just talked about if you click here. My sister wears this look in the evenings on holiday and it’s perfect for me when I’m at home going out. Go say hi under the video!

My two favourites are the Pantene Pro V Instant Refresh and the COLab Sheer and Invisible. I love them because they are two of the few dry shampoos that actually make your hair look good again but don’t feel really gritty and dusty which puts a lot of people off using them. I can’t decide which I prefer but they are both really affordable and I get through so much that I always take two cans away with me!

TUTORIAL: Festival Hairstyles

It’s that time of year again. The sun comes out and our instagram feed fills up with beautiful outfits and festival hairstyles. I was lucky enough to go to Coachella this year in America and got so much inspiration for summer hair so I wanted to write a post about it.

Coachella blog 1 coachella1 coachella3

I’ve always been a bit afraid of trying new hairstyles because I have tried to follow a few tutorials and they never end up looking as they should do! So I wanted to create 3 styles that are really easy to do, but still look really good! The first thing that you’ll need to do is make sure you wash your hair with a decent shampoo and conditioner that is going to keep your hair nice and clean for a few days and isn’t going to leave it too heavy to style. So I’d recommend using the Pantene Pro V Expert Collection Hydra Intensify Shampoo and Conditioner. I have really damaged, coloured hair so this little duo is amazing at making everything feel much better again! My hair felt so soft after using this but unlike some of the other collections I’ve used like this it didn’t make my hair feel heavy which makes it impossible to style!

So onto the first look which is great if you have long hair. Scrape your hair to one side and make a really chunky plait whilst lifting it up. Flip the plait over one side and grip it in place. Then find a hair tie or wired band to lock it in place and finish your outfit.

Onto the second look which is great for all hair lengths and is probably one of my favourites. First of all you need to make sure the top of your hairs and the lengths are nice and smooth and are going to style well. I’ve picked the Pantene Pro V Expert Collection Velvet creme infusion which is one of my go-to styling products of the moment. It smooths everything down and gets rid of flyaway hairs but doesn’t leave my hair looking greasy. Once that’s applied, find a pretty hair band and place it over your head but don’t tuck it under your hair. Then taking sections of about 1 inch, twirl the hair round and tuck it through the band at the back. Repeat this all the way around your head until all the hair is up. This look needs a bit of maintenance as you go through the day in terms of putting a few bits back in if it falls out but it looks so beautiful!

coachella blog3

Finally onto the third look which is really good for all hair lengths and is vintage inspired! Take a section of hair from the front of your head and use your fingers to create a roll of hair that finishes at the front of your face to one side. Pin it in place and then take some hairspray to set it. I’ve chosen my Nioxin 3D Styling NioSpray Strong Hold. I’ve raved about Nioxin treatments for years in terms of thickening and helping to grow my hair, so I was so excited when they announced they were bringing out a styling range. This hairspray thickens your hair so it looks full of volume, and it doesn’t feel sticky when you spray it in. I’m on my third can in just a few months! You can either leave the hair like this or find an accessory to place around your head or to the side. I’m obsessed with flowers for festivals so I’ve chosen these.

Hair is only one part of the look for a festival so make sure you check out my festival product essentials video over on the Beauty Recommended YouTube channel which talks through a few products that will make sure you’re looking good but aren’t having to pack your whole makeup collection! Make sure you subscribe here to the Beauty Recommended channel too so you don’t miss any of my videos! I can’t wait to see all your summer and festival photos too. Make sure you tag me on twitter and instagram and i’ll be retweeting anyone who recreates these hairstyles! Love Becky x

A Day In The Life of a YouTuber

It appears miracles can happen. Never ever did I think I would be able to leave the house and go a full day not only without topping up my powder, but without even putting much of it on in the first place. I have always suffered with shine, and as the day goes on my makeup slides off and it just seems to get worse. Garnier set me the challenge of putting their new Pure Active Matte Control to the test. It’s an anti-shine anti-blemish moisturiser that claims to be able to control shine for 8 hours non-stop. Being the cynic I am, I didn’t think that one product alone could do this. So I mixed things up a little, and filmed an entire day in my life showing every step of the day and my skin and makeup. I mean, if the shine was going to show, I wanted you there to be able to judge it for yourselves! I was a bit on the tough side too, I actually put it through its paces for about 10 hours.

garnier1

Here’s the product that’s about to shake things up in the moisturiser game. It’s all about shine control for combination to oily skin. First of all I love the texture, it’s a gel consistency but not as thick and waxy as some of my favourite primers like Benefits Porefessional or Becca which I know divide you when it comes to how they feel. Instead it feels like satin because it’s actually a gel. I literally couldn’t stop putting this on it made my skin feel so good and definitely looked a lot smoother. It smells nice, quite subtle, similar to other Garnier products if you’re familiar with those. That wasn’t the test for me though, as soft as it might be, I needed it to hold my makeup and stop any single bit of shine developing.

garnier2

I got ready with this as part of my morning routine, went to brunch in this, took the dogs for a walk in this, filmed under my lights with this and relaxed by the fire in the evening with this. 10 hours later and not one bit of grease or shine. I felt defeated, and I loved it. So much so that I raved about it in my monthly favourites and daily skincare and makeup routine. It contains mattifying Airlicium and Salicylic Acid which is the little miracle combination that explains the shine control.

One other thing for me that stood out was how hydrated my skin felt at the end of the day. Usually when I’m packing primer and powder on my face by the end of the day I have dry patches, hence why I seem to have such combination skin at the moment. This didn’t do that, so it’s a moisturiser and primer in one. And if you have combination or oily skin like I do, I would pretty much expect this will become your go-to product like it has mine! It’s £6.99 so being a 2 in 1 product, you are getting so much for your money. Sometimes when I find something for shine control it’s high end and expensive can make it more of a treat rather than a daily product. That’s why I really wanted to tell you about this in hope that it helps some of you who have the shine problem like I do!

Now my fear of leaving powder at home has changed into my fear of leaving this! But judge it for yourself – the camera can’t lie! Here’s a day in my life….product aside it’s a chance to be a little nosey and watch me filming behind the scenes and what I get up to in a typical day! Love Becky x

My Winter Evening Routine

This was by far one of my favourite videos to put together for you. I am feeling so Christmassy and have been spending most evenings wrapping presents, drinking mulled wine and visiting friends! So I wanted to put together a winter evening routine video showing you how to touch your makeup up if you’re popping out for the evening, but don’t want to spend ages getting ready. After all Christmas time is about relaxing right?

winter eve

A few things that I’m really excited to tell you about….first of all a new Soap and Glory blush that doubles up as a highlighter too. It’s multi-shade so really is perfect for defining and giving a little sparkle. Also, make sure you watch right until the end as I’ve got a cute little gift guide if you’re last minute buying for men for Christmas. There’s a pair of cufflinks that I think you’ll fall in love with, in fact there’s a load of jewellery on that site that you might just want to keep for yourself! Happy shopping, Becky x

Engagement Party Makeup!

Last night I went to one of my best friends’ engagement parties in London. I wanted to dress up for the event so I packed some of my current makeup faves that I know are going to give me the coverage I want for a night out and last all evening! My jumpsuit is from Very, my bag and shoes are from Kurt Geiger.

finished

First up for the base and to set everything in place I used my Illamasque primer. I’d heard so many good things about this and it doesn’t fail to disappoint. It feels nice and silky when you apply it and although it gets rid of any grease, it doesn’t leave your skin looking dry and kept my makeup on all night. I chose my Armani Luminous silk foundation which is my go-to foundation for nights out. It gives a nice full coverage without making you look cakey. The foundation itself needs a bit of time to put on, you can’t rush it, but it leaves a beautiful flawless finish and sits halfway between matte and dewy. Then onto my hourglass concealer. I’ve broken out in spots so badly recently so this is perfect because it’s nice and thick and doesn’t slide off my skin. It covers everything!!! And then I set it all in place with my Mac Studio Fix powder which is perfect for getting rid of any shine and adds a little more cover so your skin is totally flawless.

base

Next to add a little colour, I used my Delilah sunset bronzer. This is something I’ve been using almost every single day. It’s a pretty new brand that’s popped up and I have to say from what I’ve tried so far I’m really impressed. The packaging is gorgeous, the chrome looks so nice. The product itself hits high in terms of staying power, definition and contours so beautifully. It doesn’t have any glitter in either which is what I want when I go into the fall. Blusher wise I used my Becca flowerchild which has fast become a yearly fave. The colour is just beautiful, the pigmentation is great and it lasts all evening.

blush

Onto eyes! To sort out my eyebrows I used the Soap and Glory Archery pen. Now I know this completely divides people but I love it! It has a little felt-tip on one end so you can go around the whole eyebrow and draw a perfect shape and then a pencil to fill in. It works perfectly for me because I find it so easy, the only thing I wish it had was a little brush! Then I used my Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil in oil slick. This goes on so easily, stays on for hours, the pigmentation is amazing and it has a little glitter in which looks so pretty on your eyes! I used some eyeylure lashes tonight too. I’m not usually a fan of fake lashes because of how they feel but I have to say I was so impressed with these. They were pretty easy to put on, and that’s usually my downfall! One started to come loose after about 4 hours but as lashes go they are probably some of the best I’ve used and didn’t look fake! Finally I finished my eyes off with my product of the moment the Max Factor Masterpiece transform mascara in black brown. This is simply amazing. First I love that it’s brown but it’s still statement enough. Second I love the brush and how it builds, it leaves your lashes looking so full and defined. I love it!

eyes

lashes

Finally for my lips I lined them with my favourite liner for fall the Max Factor colour elixir in pink petal which is beautiful if you love natural looking lips. It helps define and has enough pigmentation but is really subtle and glides on so easily. Finally I finished it off with my Benefit Hervana ultra plush lipgloss. This smells and feels so good! It’s so nice and glossy but not sticky. You need to top it up after a few hours so I took this along with me but I felt like it was the perfect colour going into the fall, slightly darker than a nude but still safe enough in terms of colour for me! I love the application too, you just squeeze it straight onto your lips and use the tip to smooth it on.

lips

And then finally it was hair time! I used my curlers of the moment, the Jose Eber 35mm wand. This wand isn’t cheap at £120 but it’s well worth it! It’s the best wand I own for two reasons – It leaves me with big bouncy natural looking curls and they stay in for so long! I can’t recommend these enough to you, well worth saving up for! Then I used my Philip Kingley daily damage defence to protect my hair, I like this because I don’t even notice it! It leaves my hair feeling so soft and not sticky and I know it’s helping against the heat damage! A quick spray of my L’Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray to make it all stay in place which brushes out and looks so natural. Then all topped off with a little Alterna Caviar CC cream to smooth over any flyaway hairs. This smells so good and leaves my hair feeling so silky!

So that was what I used! I had so much fun last night and so much fun writing this! Let me know in the comments below if you’d like more posts like this from when I go out! Hope you’re all having a great weekend! Love Becky x

Get Ready With Me for the BAFTAs!

Now I know I get excited about a lot of things but this was literally one of the best days of my life! It has always been my dream to go to the BAFTAs, I love the British film and TV industry and it’s always been something I’ve watched every year.

So finally my dream did come true and I went along with Mark Hill for the night. My dad would have been beaming with excitement too. He worked in the TV industry and I know he would have been texting me all night so I had his ring on and felt he was there. I was so excited about getting ready for the evening, luckily there was help on hand! I went for a smokey eye look which was done by MAC and the amazing team at Mark Hill gave me red carpet ready curls that kept up the volume all night long! I filmed the whole thing so you guys could come with me. The highlight of the night was definitely getting a selfie with Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad. I’m almost at the end of the series and love him as an actor he is just fab! So come and party with me, here’s the video! Love Becky x

Get Ready With Me: The USA

My favourite part of doing YouTube is when I get to actually meet you guys and have lots of girlie chats and hugs! You’re awesome and are such an inspiration to me, so going to Vidcon this year in LA was top on my list to do because I’d never been! It was so great to be there and see lots of you at the meet up.

I got to spend lots of time in the sunshine and packed my favourite products and outfits to wear each day! I want my hair looking good, my makeup to last all day so that we can take lots of selfies and an outfit that is going to be both comfy and cute! I hope you enjoy the video, there’s lots of sunshine! Get Ready With Me: Prom / Graduation

Glass slippers and pumpkins, well not quite but it is that time of year again. So many of you have been tweeting me asking about ideas for your prom! I’ve been to a couple of ‘black tie’ balls recently so I wanted to put together a fail-safe Get Ready With Me that will take you through from head to toe.

Going to a ball is always something that I look forward to for weeks. They are such special events, and I like the build up just as much as the event. I always try to put a bit of time aside if I’m going to a special party, and it means I can do the whole works in terms of getting ready.

black tie blog 2

Here’s a picture of me trying to look all sophisticated…if I can do it so can you hehe! I always use a mixture of drugstore products and high end so that I feel extra special. Here’s a sneaky peek of a few things I’ve pulled out to show you.

I’m obsessed with the Armani Luminous Silk foundation, which I discovered recently for a totally flawless finish. It comes with a higher price tag but in my eyes is so worth it for special events like this because I know it’s going to last. I save my bright lip colours for occasions when I’m pulling all the stops out, so I’ve used my Rimmel Apocalips for this look which is just so bright and so fab!

Grab yourself a cuppa and watch my video to get the full look. You can subscribe here too. Becky x
